Take advantage of the opportunity to become part of the regional event format. Strengthen the IT-location Berlin by your presence at the LinuxTag from the 23-26 May 2012. Open-IT “Made in Berlin” is in demand.

The goal is ambitious: Berlin wants to becom the Silicon Valley of Europe. Thus, the policy aims. The LinuxTag takes it by its word and gives the vision a face with the new business consept “open valley berlin”.

Content plus presence

The pillars of the concept are the community stand and the track on Wednesday, 23. May 2012, in the midst of the fair in hall 7.2b. Topics and lectures for the berlin track can be submitted until the 30. March in the virtual Conference Center. The motto is more interoperability, more collaboration, more openness.

On the 23. May 2012 IT companies from the region are getting a word in the open source arena in hall 7.2. Concrete open source success stories will be told and IT applications and solutions developed in Berlin will be presented to a broad audience.

With the new business format we want to give an even stronger voice to the regional ICT industry and anchor the cluster in the policy- and business scene of Berlin. Among the supporters of the new location-strengthening format “open valley berlin” are the Berlin Chamber of Commerce, init AG, Amt24, the Open Source Business Alliance (OSB) and the ICT Industry Registered Association of Berlin-Brandenburg – SIBB.
