Developing Open Educational Content for use in OLPC deployments: What do you wish those children knew?

by Tony Anderson

Saturday, 25.05.2013, Weimar 3, 14:00-16:00 Uhr

The workshop will show how courses, units and lessons can be developed for children using the One Laptop per Child laptop and delivered using a school server. A schoolserver will be available with tools which can be used on an XO laptop or on your own! Example lessons will be shown from those developed by teachers in Rwanda, from the Siyavula project, and from the Khan Academy. Participants will have an opportunity to start building lessons to teach children what they think every child should know, e.g how to raise tulips or how to compose Reggae.
