LinuxTag is the most important place for Linux and open source software in Europe. In 2009, the 15th LinuxTag presents news for professional users, decision makers, developers, beginners and the Linux community - from 24th until 27th June on the Fairground in Berlin. Our main toppics this year:
- Mobility
Small devices with flexible open source platforms give Linux a push. Netbooks and modern cellphones create a new approach. - Smart Processing
Open source software helps with growing complexity in a company's infrastructure. It offers scalability, flexibility and security - not only in rough financial times. - Responsibility
Many people worry about the aftermaths of information technology. LinuxTag takes a look beyond Green IT. It focusses on financial and energy efficiancy as well as social and public aspects of free software.
ectures of these and many other topics, from beginners' issues to system monitoring, are taking place on all four days of the tradefair. Everyone who owns a ticket (12 Euro per day, 28 Euro all days) is free to join any of these presentations. In addition to regular tickets, the association of LinuxTag e. V. has free e-tickets for people who participate in free software project communities.
The association of LinuxTag e. V. organizes LinuxTag in partnership with the Messe Berlin GmbH. This annual gathering is based on three main principles:
- This largest open source exhibition gathers around more Linux oriented businesses and more free software projects than any other open source event.
- The lectures and the speakers are of high quality and turn visits of the LinuxTag into a recommendable experience.
- Year after year, countless free software enthusiasts volunteer behind the scene and make the LinuxTag the number one of open source events - since 13 years.
LinuxTag - where .com meets .org.
