LinuxTag is the most important place for Linux and open source software in Europe. In 2009, the 15th LinuxTag presents news for professional users, decision makers, developers, beginners and the Linux community - from 24th until 27th June on the Fairground in Berlin. Our main toppics this year:

ectures of these and many other topics, from beginners' issues to system monitoring, are taking place on all four days of the tradefair. Everyone who owns a ticket (12 Euro per day, 28 Euro all days) is free to join any of these presentations. In addition to regular tickets, the association of LinuxTag e. V. has free e-tickets for people who participate in free software project communities.

The association of LinuxTag e. V. organizes LinuxTag in partnership with the Messe Berlin GmbH. This annual gathering is based on three main principles:

15.06.2009 Win a Android-Phone every day at LinuxTag

As last year our partner tarent GmbH is planning a daily lottery drawing at LinuxTag. The Android platform is probably one of the hottest open source topics this year, for which reason tarent decided to offer daily demonstration of applications and use cases for this platform. LinuxTag Visitors have the chance to win every day a brandnew Android-Phone and additional exciting prices. The lottery is open to everyone and will be drawn Wednesday to Saturday at 5pm at the tarent booth.

The Fedora Project, a Red Hat sponsored and community-supported open source collaboration project, announced today that the Fedora Project will host the Fedora Users and Developers Conference (FUDCon) between June 26-28, 2009 in Berlin, Germany.
