LinuxTag e.V. and Messe Berlin agree on long-term collaboration. The relocation of LinuxTag to the German capital proved to be a success. 12.01.2007 The entire world of free and open source software in Berlin
LinuxTag 2007 continues to consolidate its position as Europe’s leading event for Linux and free software at its new location in Berlin. The programme of conferences at this combined trade show and convention is still expanding, with 30 sections featuring over 200 papers during the four days of this event. At the same time more than100 companies and projects will be presenting their latest developments in Linux, and in free and open source software.
15.05.2007 Europe’s leading event for Linux and OSS as a shop window for free software in administrations
The importance of Linux and Free Software for administrations in Germany will be at the forefront of the convention for business and public sector authorities at LinuxTag 2007. It will feature a total of four series of papers containing numerous examples of the use of open source solutions at a European-wide level, as well as at national, state and local authority level in Germany. The Federal Ministry of the Interior will be responsible for the programme for this event.

LinuxTag 2007 in Berlin provides IT specialists with a wide range of seminars, workshops and examinations. The leading European event for Linux and free software is an approved training event and its advanced training programme is intended for advanced Linux and Unix users in business, science and public administration.
07.05.2007 LinuxNacht: The Social Event at LinuxTag, May 31, 2007
A special highlight in the LinuxTag calendar is the social event for visitors, exhibitors and speakers on the second evening of the fair: LinuxNacht. The Linux community will gather on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at the Umspannwerk, on the banks of the Landwehrkanal in Berlin's Kreuzberg borough.
07.05.2007 LinuxTag Launches E-Ticket Program
As last year, the LinuxTag association in cooperation with Messe Berlin is using the eTicket program to allow members of the community to visit LinuxTag 2007 free of charge. Over 200 key figures in the free software scene have already received their tickets and can pass on more. In all, several thousand tickets to the exposition and conference will be distributed.

The traditional Keysigning Party will once again be a part of this year's LinuxTag. The Party will take place as part of Debian Day on Friday, 1 June, at 2:00 p.m. To participate, you must register your key by 27 May.
04.05.2007 Career Lounge at LinuxTag and IT Profits
LinuxTag, Europe's leading OSS event, and the IT users' fair IT Profits present the Career Lounge for technical and managerial specialists in the IT field. The Career Lounge, organized at the Exhibition Grounds in cooperation with the State of Berlin's Projekt Zukunft, invites software and systems developers and other employers to introduce themselves and to talk directly with software developers and young people entering the field.
