von Erick Dennis (epublica GmbH), Michael Otto (epublica GmbH)
Mittwoch, 30.05.2007, Saal 4: Kaiserslautern , 11:00-12:00 Uhr
A real life story from the trenches, of how a once small business community running on a single MySQL database rapidly evolved to become a multimillion user social networking platform. The developers from epublica will share their experience in identifying and conquering scalability issues and profited from the advantages of the MySQL AB consulting services.
Discussions will cover MySQL Replication and its Implications at the Application Level, Scaling Reads and Writes with Caching and Batching, Data Partitioning by User/Function, and Data Migration.
The techniques will demonstrate how to engineer a robust website capable of belting out 1500+ queries/second with over 250 million page impressions/month using MySQL and open source software.
