LPI Examinations
The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), with the support of the German LPI e.V., is offering Linux certification examinations with special reduced fees at LinuxTag 2007.
The new LPIC-3 exams will be offered for the first time at LinuxTag. In addition to the LPIC-3 (301 and 302, in English), all the LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams (101, 102, 201 und 202) will be offered in German and English. Furthermore, both MySQL 5.0 Exams (Administrator and Developer) and the Ubuntu Professional Certification (LPI 199) will be offered in English. Please see the list of exam dates and times below. Candidates should report fifteen minutes before the beginning of the exam.
Special fees for LinuxTag visitors are €60 for the LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams and the 302 exam, and €80 for the 301 exam. This is half the normal examination fee. The fee for the Ubuntu Professional Exam is €75 for members of the Ubuntu Community, and €85 for other LinuxTag visitors. The MySQL Exams are being offered with a 50% fee reduction for €85. For all the exams, a processing fee must be paid cash before the examination.
Because the number of seats is limited, we strongly recommend that you register in advance for all exams. Please register online through the LPI German website.
Furthermore, all LPI and Ubuntu Professional candidates must present a valid LPI identification number. This number must be applied for online.
The LPI ID and valid photo identification must be presented before the exam begins. Candidates for the MySQL exams must apply for a MySQL certification ID through the MySQL website, and must present this ID together with valid photo identification before the exam begins.
