Contact, Communication, Career
LinuxTag 2007 under the Funkturm in Berlin brings professionals and employers together.
Concentrated Expertise
This year's LinuxTag says, “Come in, we’re open!” Now in Berlin, Europe's largest event for free and open-source software takes place for the first time concurrently with the user trade fair IT Profits. LinuxTag 2007 will feature some 200 expert presentations from May 30 to June 2. With three major themes—Virtualization Trends, Web 2.0 Technologies, and New with Linux, LinuxTag addresses the latest developments in free and open-source software. Meanwhile IT Profits 2007 focuses on Linux and open-source software with a high-caliber panel discussion on the question, “Open-source Software: A Danger to the Conventional Software Industry?”
Contacts and Careers
The IT industry needs smart people. But how to find them? This question is posed not only by companies looking for expert reinforcements, but also by job-seekers who still haven't found the right employer. The Career Lounge at LinuxTag is the place to find what you've been looking for. The Lounge not only forms a bridge between two conventions, but also offers real employment services, such as the Career Compass, the Online Job Exchange, and individual advice.
Presentation Space for Companies
The Career Lounge, designed and implemented in cooperation with the Berlin Senate Office of Business, Technology and Women's Affairs, allows both exhibitors and non-exhibitors to advertise jobs and recruit skilled IT professionals. (Exhibitors can use these Career Lounge services free of charge.)
