How to Get to LinuxTag

The Berlin fairgrounds are extremely easy to reach by any means of transport. Moreover, Berlin's local public transport network is dense and easy to use.

Within Berlin, public transportation is your best option to get to the fairgrounds and we thus recommend using them. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes from the city center (e. g. Alexanderplatz, Friedrichstraße, Central Station, Zoo Station) to the fairgrounds.

The Berlin fairgrounds are big, LinuxTag takes place in halls 12, 13, 14, and 15. Access is though entrance "Eingang Ost". Both landmarks Convention Center ICC as well as the "Funkturm" (radio tower) help orientating. Closest stations of public transportation are "Messe Nord/ICC" and "Kaiserdamm"; we also recommend to exit at "Westkreuz" as transferring for one station to "Messe Nord/ICC" does not pay off.

By Car to the Berlin Fairgrounds

Most of the autobahns radiating from Berlin have three lanes in each direction. From the autobahn ring around Berlin, the A10, you can follow the "Messegelände" signs from the Drewitz, Oranienburg, Schönefelder Kreuz and Pankow junctions. These lead to the A111, A115 (or "Avus") and A100 autobahns into the city, which meet at the Funkturm junction. That's where you'll find the exit to the fairgrounds.

There is free parking for 5000 cars at the fairgrounds. We recommend the parking lot at Hammerskjöldplatz, which is closest to the entrance ("Eingang Ost").
