LPI-Day @ LinuxTag
Item Writing Workshop
von Klaus Behrla (LPI e.V.)
Freitag, 01.06.2007, LPI-Raum, 10:00-11:30 Uhr
Direction: G. Matthew Rice
Are you interested in helping the Linux Professional Institute create exam questions? Come to this workshop with some questions in mind (especially questions that you think should be on the exams but are not) and LPI staff members will show you how to format the items using YAML and guide you through the process of creating a good exam question. People only write items for the levels that they have passed. The questions will be reviewed and, if found acceptable, added as pilot/unscored items in future exams for statistical review before making it to the exam as a scored item.
- offer to any alumni the opportunity to arrive with 10 items (we'll prepare them with information, formats, etc).
- have 2 or 3 LPI SMEs review the items with them (or maybe do it in small groups of 2-4 people and peer review them)
- have a (team) knowledge contest on LPI objectives
