The OpenH323 project was started in 1999 and was the first Open Source implementation of the H.323 protocol. The OPAL project was started in 2000 and is the only Open Source project to contain native implementations of H.323, SIP and IAX. OPAL and OpenH323 continue to be developed and are used in most Open Source VoIP projects, as well as many commercial applications. This report describes the most recent updates to both projects as well as outlining the milestones for the next 12 months.
